Community Standards
What is not permitted, and how should abuse be reported
Community Standards
Introduction
People use D-app social on a daily basis to share their lives, connect with friends and family, and form communities. We're a platform that allows over two billion individuals to freely express themselves across countries, cultures, and languages.
We understand how essential it is for D-app social to be a place where people feel free to express themselves, and we take our responsibility to keep abuse off our platform very seriously. That's why we've created a set of Community Standards that spell out what's acceptable and what's not on D-app social .Our rules are informed by community feedback as well as the opinion of professionals in disciplines like as technology, public safety, and human rights. We take great care to develop policies that are inclusive of different ideas and opinions, particularly those of people and communities who may otherwise be disregarded or excluded, to ensure that everyone's voice is recognised.
The purpose of our Community Standards has always been to provide a safe space for people to express themselves and to give them a voice. This hasn't changed and won't change. People's ability to share varied perspectives, experiences, ideas, and information is critical to fostering community and bringing the world closer together. We want people to be able to openly discuss the issues that are important to them, even though others may disagree or disagree with them.In some situations, we allow content that would otherwise violate our Community Standards for public awareness if it is noteworthy and in the public interest. We only do so after balancing the public interest value against the danger of harm, and we base our decisions on international human rights norms, as outlined in our Corporate Human Rights Policy. As a result, we examine whether anything shared by anyone, including news organisations and individual users, is newsworthy. For example, if graphically depicting combat or the effects of conflict is crucial to public dialogue, we have allowed it.
Our dedication to freedom of expression is vital, but we know that the internet opens up new and expanded avenues for abuse. As a result, when we limit expression, we do it in the service of one or more of the values listed below:
Authenticity: We want to ensure that the content that people view on D-app social is genuine. We believe that authenticity fosters better sharing, which is why we don't want anyone to use D-app social to misrepresent themselves or their activities.
Safety:We are committed to making D-app social a safe environment. Threatening language is not permitted on D-app social because it has the potential to frighten, exclude, or silence others.
We are devoted to safeguarding personal information and privacy. People's privacy allows them to be themselves, select how and when they post on D-app social , and interact more readily.
Human Dignity: We think that everyone has the same dignity and rights. We expect people to treat others with decency and not harass or demean them.
Everyone, everywhere, and for all forms of information is subject to our Community Standards. They're intended to be comprehensive; for example, content that isn't hateful may nonetheless be removed due to a violation of another policy. We understand that words can signify different things to different people depending on their context, language, or background. We work hard to account for these subtleties while ensuring that our principles are applied uniformly and fairly to people and their expression. Our ability to enforce these standards is dependent on the information we have at our disposal. In some cases, this means we may miss content and behaviour that breaches these standards, while in others, enforcement may be limited to situations in which we have been given extra information and context.
Pages, Groups, Profiles, individual content, and comments are all examples of possibly violating content that can be reported. People can also take control of their own experience by blocking, unfollowing, or hiding people and posts.
The degree of the infraction and the person's history on the platform determine the severity of the repercussions for breaching our Community Standards. For example, if someone violates our regulations for the first time, we may issue a warning, but if they continue to do so, we may restrict their ability to post on D-app social or deactivate their account. When we believe there is a serious risk of bodily harm or a direct threat to public safety, we may also alert police enforcement.
What is and isn't allowed on D-app social is outlined in our Community Standards. We ask that members of the D-app social community follow these standards in this spirit.
